RFP Closed — Company Selected

Many thanks to all those businesses and individuals who responded to our Request For Proposal regarding the redesign and reimplementation of this web site. We received a large number of proposals, so a committee was struck to go through them all and make a recommendation back to the WASBE Board. The WASBE Board met in mid-December and selected a preferred bidder, who has agreed to move forward on the project with us. Bidders who were not successful have been sent notification to the e-mail address from which their proposal was submitted. Phone calls and e-mail messages requesting information on why a bid was not selected will not be returned.

Articles will be posted to the web site daily and will become a part a part of our permanent online archive. If you are willing to be one of our writers on-site, please send an e-mail message to Web Publisher Anthony Reimer at wasbe [at] jazzace.ca. When you write, let him know whether or not you will be bringing a laptop computer with you and which dates you will be in attendance at the Conference.

WASBE Looking for Camps to Participate in International Scholarship Program

The WASBE International Scholarship Program was established to assist students to study at a music camp in a country other than their own. This youth cultural exchange would not only add to the student’s musical development but would also enable participating students to develop a greater understanding and appreciation of each other through their mutual interest in music.

During the past 27 years (1982–2008) more than 150 students from seventeen countries have participated in the International Scholarship Program. This is an excellent way of providing a unique opportunity for a young international musician while promoting your camp worldwide!

Camps interested in providing scholarship opportunities should contact:
