Applications to Perform at the 15^th WASBE Conference 2011

Wind bands and ensembles wishing to perform at the 2011 WASBE Conference in Chiayi City, Taiwan should apply to the Chairperson for Conference Performances, Dennis L. Johnson before 1 November 2009. The Letter of Application should include the following supporting materials:

• A statement of the wind band/ensemble’s mission
• A statement of the conductor’s philosophy of programming
• Three recent programs plus reviews and other supporting documents
• An unedited CD recording of a recent live performance
• A suggested listing of compositions considered appropriate for performance at a WASBE Conference and the rational for selecting these works
• A statement indicating how the group would finance its trip to the Conference
• A statement indicating that the ensemble is familiar with the Guidelines for Performing Ensembles at WASBE International Conferences
• A statement indicating that the ensemble is willing, eighteen months in advance of the Conference, to sign a Letter of Agreement with WASBE based on the Guidelines.
